Israel Adesanya Demands Rematch with Dricus du Plessis, Claims “True African Champ” Title is Still Up for Grabs

In an unexpected twist of events, UFC’s favorite middleweight and self-proclaimed “King of Africa,” Israel Adesanya, has officially challenged Dricus du Plessis to a rematch, after du Plessis took home the belt and the coveted title of “True African Champ.” Adesanya, known for his sharp tongue and even sharper elbows, is apparently not ready to let go of his continental crown just yet.

In a recent press conference, Adesanya appeared donning a lion-skin cape, zebra-striped gloves, and a pair of sunglasses that could only be described as “safari chic.” He paced back and forth on stage, occasionally letting out a war cry that, according to eyewitnesses, resembled a mix between a lion’s roar and a frustrated house cat. “Look, I’m not saying du Plessis isn’t African,” Adesanya said, pausing dramatically to sip from a coconut shell filled with what he called “African warrior juice.” “But just because you can walk barefoot on a safari doesn’t mean you’re the true king of the jungle. That’s me, baby! I was born in Nigeria, raised in New Zealand, and spiritually connected to every giraffe on the continent. So, who’s the real African champ here?”

Du Plessis, who has been basking in his newfound glory by posting Instagram stories of himself wrestling crocodiles and high-fiving rhinos, has yet to respond to Adesanya’s challenge. But sources close to the fighter say he’s been busy crafting a comeback that involves a herd of elephants, a drum circle, and what can only be described as a “victory dance” that would put a Maasai warrior to shame.

Meanwhile, the UFC has reportedly been scrambling to find a suitable venue for the rematch. Rumor has it that Adesanya has insisted the fight take place in the middle of the Serengeti, surrounded by acacia trees, with lions as referees. “It’s not just about the belt,” Adesanya explained. “It’s about proving who’s truly connected to the Motherland. And if that means wrestling a rhino mid-fight, so be it.”

In the meantime, fans are left to speculate who will emerge as the ultimate “African Champ.” Will it be Adesanya, the self-proclaimed King of the Jungle, or du Plessis, the man who actually won the fight? One thing’s for sure: the rematch will be a wild ride—literally. We’re just hoping it doesn’t end with Adesanya trying to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in flip-flops to prove his point. Again.
